Who we are

At the Tennessee Apartment Association, we are dedicated to supporting and advancing the rental housing industry across Tennessee. Our members include apartment communities, property management companies, housing professionals, and industry partners who work together to provide quality housing for residents throughout the state.

TNAA is comprised of five affiliate associations that work together to unify the multifamily housing industry in Tennessee.

We believe strong communities begin with strong housing. Through advocacy, collaboration, and communication, we serve as a trusted voice for the rental housing industry while helping our members stay informed, connected, and equipped for success.

Our mission is to serve and promote the Tennessee rental housing industry through advocacy, collaboration, and communication. We advocate for policies that support responsible housing providers, foster meaningful partnerships within the industry, and create opportunities for education, networking, and professional growth.

Whether supporting property owners, management professionals, suppliers, or residents, the Tennessee Apartment Association is committed to strengthening the future of rental housing in Tennessee.

How to Join

Benefits of TNAA

  • Becoming active in the Tennessee Apartment Association (TNAA) allows you to be part of a larger group of professionals in the rental housing industry. Together as a unified group, TNAA has proved to be a powerful collection of members taking a stand on issues affecting the industry by monitoring proposed legislation and alerting members of current and urgent rental housing issues.
  • Each year, we host our Legislative Reception, giving members the unique opportunity to network directly with Tennessee state lawmakers and engage in conversations that impact the multifamily industry.
  • We also host our annual Business Exchange, a reverse trade show designed to connect suppliers and management companies in a productive, relationship-focused environment that helps build valuable business partnerships.
  • We also have 4 committees for members to join. Can’t make it in person? No worries, we offer a virtual option so you can still participate! The committees we offer are:

Association Operations Committee, Business Exchange Committee, Government Affairs Committee, and the Marketing & Communications Committee.

  • Networking and professional development opportunities at our quarterly open board meetings.
